MCP connection guide

Build your one resume from ChatGPT.

Parichay exposes a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server. Google authenticates your Parichay account, and Parichay handles the OAuth connection using Firebase Auth and Firestore.

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, select the plus button, then choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Enter the URL above and select OAuth authentication.
  3. Approve resume read and write scopes.
  4. When redirected, sign in to Parichay with Google.
  5. Install or enable the plugin, select it in a chat, and ask it to call get_resume before making changes.

Adding custom MCP servers depends on ChatGPT workspace permissions and account availability.

Built-in OAuth

  • No separate OAuth service is required. Parichay dynamically registers compatible public clients and uses S256 PKCE.
  • Google sign-in remains the account identity, while one-time authorization-code usage is stored in Firestore to prevent replay.
  • The server grants only resumes:read and resumes:write access.

Storage and completion

The canonical document is users/{uid}/resumes/main. Export requires a name, email or phone, summary, at least one skill, and at least one meaningful experience or education entry. Projects and achievements are tracked but optional for export.
